What happens if I move?
When your VIP750.com technician installs your life protection system, you will receive a Free System Move Certificate. If you move after completion of 12 months of monitoring through Monitronics, you simply redeem this certificate.

How do I update my account information?

How can I obtain an insurance certificate?
You may obtain an insurance certificate by e-mailing us your request to
info1@VIP750-security.com or by calling our Alarm Services Department at 1-888-VIP-1502 (1-888-847-1502). We ask that you allow 24 hours for processing.

What is the importance of providing a code word when my alarm goes off?
This is a verification process, not only to ensure your safety, but to determine that the person answering is authorized to be at the location. If an incorrect code word is given, we will continue with our dispatch process.

How do I cancel a service call if no longer need service?
You can cancel the service call by contacting our Service Department at 1-888-VIP-1502 (1-888-847-1502).

Am I required to get a permit to operate an alarm system?
Each city or county jurisdiction is different. You can call us at 1-888-VIP-1502 (1-888-847-1502) for assistance or check your city and local ordinances. If a permit is required, it is the responsibility of the homeowner or business owner to stay current on the annual permit renewal requirements, and notify VIP750.com of the permit number (if required) and the annual expiration date.

How do I know my motion sensor is active?
Arm your system. Wait for about 3 minutes and step into the protected zone of the motion sensor. Of course, your alarm will go off. Then, simply deactivate your alarm.

How long is the delay when I arm or disarm the system?
We recommend the shortest delay possible upon entering your home or business before your system arms - typically around 30 seconds. When exiting your home or business, we typically recommend a 60 second delay after you arm the system.

Do I need a phone line?
No, you do not. We can provide you with a cellular backup device that attaches to your alarm panel. This cellular device sends the security signal just as a regular land line does.

I lost or have forgotten my code word. What do I do?
Please contact Monitronics at 1-800-447-9239.

How do I change my code word?
If you know your code word and wish to change it, simply call Monitronics at 1-800-447-9239.

How do I change my 4-digit user code?
There is a simple process for this that is outlined in your User's Manual.

How do I reset my system after the alarm has gone off?
Make sure all your doors and windows are closed, and enter your 4-digit user code in the keypad twice, slowly and firmly.

Will my alarm system still work if I lose power?
Yes, the back-up batteries in the security control panel will keep your system running for several hours. Check the "low battery" indicator on the security control panel regularly to verify adequate battery power.

Why is it important to test my system?
Testing your alarm system ensures proper operation and communication with our Monitoring Center. In order to test the entire system, each component or zone must be tested individually. Please call VIP750.com at 1-888-VIP-1502 (1-888-847-1502), and one of our Customer Service representatives will gladly give you instructions on how to test your system. To avoid false alarms, you must notify VIP750.com or Monitronics when you will be testing your system to prevent the alarm monitoring station from dispatching authorities to respond to the alarm signal.
